Which Roadmaster Comfort Ride Suspension Kit Fits a 2026 Alliance Delta 252RL With 4,400 lb Axles?

Updated 10/12/2026 | Published 10/07/2026

Question:

Would this be the correct part for a 2026 Alliance Delta 252RL? My axles are Dexter 11136242, 4400. The spacing is 35inch on my current leaf springs. Thank you!

Hello John,

I am really glad you wrote in.

The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit # RM-2460-2580 you were looking at is designed for tandem 8,000 lb axles, so that isn't going to be the right fit for your 2026 Alliance Delta 252RL.

Instead, you will want the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit with Shocks # RM-2460-2560, which is designed for tandem 5,200 lb axles. With your 4,400 lb Dexter axles and 35" axle spacing, this is the kit you need.

The nice thing about this system is that it replaces your existing leaf springs and equalizers with slipper springs and adds shock absorbers to help reduce bouncing and road shock while towing. Installation involves removing your existing suspension components, installing the new springs and mounting brackets, and attaching the shocks to the trailer frame and axles.

I have set-up a lot of people with this system, the feedback is always superb, you will be very pleased!

Where did you take the Alliance for the first trip to break it in? Is this your first 5th wheel?

I bought the Road Master Comfort Ride system for our 2020 Grand Design Solitude 310 GK-R. It was simple to install. I did all the work myself. I was 71 years young at the time. The hardest part of all was the shocks. The band came loose on one of them and it was tough getting it compressed to bolt it on.

@ArvisC Thanks for the response, Arvis. I always love hearing from our neighbors who have years of experience under their belts and are still out there getting the job done. I once had a neighbor tell me he built an elevator where he stores his RV just so he could still get up on the roof to work on it. He was 92 years young. I've always believed if you don't use it, you lose it. So keep doing what you love, stay active, and never stop living your best life. My Dad is in his 70's still out there flying his paraglider, and crashing it from time to time =)
