Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2025 Subaru Forester and Does it Come with Everything

Hi I saw one of your vids to intsall a Curt T-connector. I want to install this on my subaru forester 2025 Hybrid. I have a 2hitch that I got from you. They say everything comes in the kit. but dont know about the 2025 forester. thought you might know. Best V

Hey Vincent, yes the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56040 does come with everything needed to install on your 2025 Subaru Forester. To have a complete trailer wiring harness all you need is this part number and you'd be set! What hitch did you go with? I don't see anything in your order notes.

@VincentS The 4-way kit we have from Curt that you referenced doesn't have the reverse light circuit built into it so it wouldn't be complete for use like what you are wanting. Normally you'd need to convert to a 5-way like with the part # C57187 but is this just for a reverse light that you want and not for trailer wiring?

Purchased this for my 2016 Subaru Outback. Videos were good. Finding the connector to plug this in to was difficult. Very tight access. Rest of install was easy. Works great.

I installed this in my 2025 Forester Touring. Everything is included. I had no trouble. I put the box in the spare tire well. I bring the wiring out from under the spare tire cover and then under the liftgate when I need it. It stays clean and out of the way until I need it. The gasket on the liftgate is thick enough that it does not harm the wiring.
