EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Volkswagen e-Golf

Question:

I have a 2018 VW e-golf and it seems that there is nothing that fits according to the site. Is it due to having to cut the rear valance? If so, I don’t mind cutting if it will fit like any other golf/gti of that year. Looking for a 2” hitch receiver as well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Ray, the EcoHitch part # 306-X7375 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2018 Volkswagen e-Golf. This is a 2 inch hitch like you are wanting that has a removable lower hitch opening so that when not in use it would be totally hidden. Are you planning on doing some towing?

I plan to only use it for a bike rack to carry my bikes. I also want to note I have a 2015 model not a 2018. Can you confirm it will fit the 2015 model e-golf year?

@RayF It does not fit a 2015 e-Golf. Was there something odd going on with the e-Golf around that time. We don't have any info on them until 2018.

@JamesonC That’s what I’ve been trying to research is if there is any difference/change in structure between the years. I plan to remove my bumper and compare it to the pictures from here. If it looks the same, I plan to purchase it and keep you updated. This could help many e-golf owners who have a 2015-2017
