Can Spring Bars of Fastway Weight Distribution be Upgraded Different Tongue Weight

Question:
Have a fastway e-2 weight distribution hitch. Can I just change the bars to a lower weight? From a 10,000 gvw to a 8000 gvw. ? The 8000 should snap into the hitch head guessing the bar diameter is the same. My new trailer is only a 6450 gvw Thanks

Hey Donna, yes you can simply swap the spring bars of your Fastway e2 weight distribution system to lower it's spring bar rating. For 800 lb bars like you mentioned wanting you would just need the part # FA94-02-0899. You would need a quantity of two of these since they are sold individually. What's the new trailer??
