Updated 09/16/2026 | Published 09/15/2026 >
Question:
My 2000llb RAM Af-rame jack is ready to install but the old holes on the tongue are only 1/4 inch threaded on 10,000 lb coupler which seem kinda small.Wouls you recommend drilling bigger holes and using 5/16 or 3/8 bolts with nuts and lock washers?

Hey Dave, I recommend exactly what you mentioned to install the A-Frame trailer jack part # TJA-2000-Z that you referenced. You would want to drill out the threaded holes so that you can fit larger hardware through the holes that you would secure with nuts and bolts.
