Updated 09/03/2026 | Published 08/31/2026

Question:

I ordered tires on wheels a few months ago, but havent put them on the trailer yet, I also need new bearings but dont know what size I need. Can I determine the bearing size by the tire and wheel size?

Hi Sharon!

Tire and wheel size can give us a general idea, but there can be quite a few variations and it isn't the best way to go. The absolute best way to know is to pull one of the hubs off to see the inner and outer bearing number. That is the 100% most accurate way to make sure we are recommending the correct replacements.

Looking at all you previously ordered parts, you will need one of the two parts I have listed below, but unfortunately, I won't have a way to be totally sure until one of the hubs is removed. I narrowed it down using the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern from the wheels you ordered, as well as the 2,000 pound axle leaf springs. This is as close as I can get before confirming what you have.

Replacement Bearing Kit with Bearings L44643 (1" Inner Diameter), Races L44610, Seal 34823 # BK1-100
Replacement Bearing Kit with Bearings L44649 (1.063" Inner Diameter), Races L44610, Seal 10-9 # BK1-150

Out of curiosity, what kind of trailer are you needing this for?
