Question:

Received the slip on mirrors for my 2025 GMC sierra truck 1500 and they don’t seem to fit my mirrors with out force and I not sure if that’s right.

Thanks for letting us help Mack. I see you ordered the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors # CIP38MR, which are a fit for your 2025 Sierra. Since these are custom-molded to fit the factory mirrors, they should fit fairly snugly, but you shouldn't have to use excessive force to install them. One thing that could explain the tight fit is the configuration of your factory mirrors. The # CIP38MR are not designed for mirrors with additional lighting features that protrude from the mirror housing rather than sitting flush. They're also not compatible with GMC's perimeter lighting system, which uses an integrated LED strip on the back of the factory mirror housing. If your mirrors have this feature, that could explain why the CIPA mirrors don't seem to fit correctly. Some other towing mirrors are designed to accommodate this feature. For example, the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors # LO54FR have a specific cutout for the perimeter lighting.

I've included a video below showing the # CIP38MR on the factory mirrors. The towing mirrors are removed at around the 1:30 mark, which gives you a good look at the OEM mirror underneath.

Do your factory mirrors look like the ones shown in the video, or do yours have any additional lights or features on the housing?
