Question:

I had my Thule Ascent 1700 Cargo Box stored for years. I took it out to use and found that one of the hinges is broken. I do not mean the Lifting Lifter. Can I still get replacement hinges for this box?

The Thule Ascent 1700 is discontinued but there are a few replacement parts that we still carry. I'm not sure exactly which hinge you're referencing but I'll attach the ones available.

If none of these replacement parts work, I did find something that will suit your needs if you decide to replace it. The Thule Force 3 XL # TH87SA is the modern equivalent of what you currently have. The dimensions are a tad smaller overall but actually provide you with an extra cubic foot of storage space.

Besides getting the hinge fixed, is there anything you wish your current cargo box did a little better?
