Air Bags For 2009 Ford F-350 Dually With B&W Turnoverball

Updated 08/24/2026 | Published 08/17/2026

Question:

I have a 2009 f350 drw truck with a older bandw gooseneck hitch. There is no model number on it, but I can tell for sure its a bandw hitch. I want to run air bags to remove chucking but I am not sure which air bag works with this hitch. Can I get your best recommendation for a airbag kit without compressor that will work with my truck?

Hey Kyle! The best recommendation for air bags is going to be Firestone. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2550 are the most durable and reliable option for your F-350. These are compatible with an in-bed hitch so they will work with your B&W Turnoverball.

If you decide you want an air compressor, we have full kits with the air bags and compressor available as well. The # F38XV has wireless controls and the # F69XV uses an analog gauge. Both come with the Easy Mount for a no-drill installation.

What are you towing with your F-350?

I am towing a 5th wheel with just under 3k pin weight. The truck on smooth road is perfect, but when I hit rough bridge expansion joints the truck hits the bump stops and causes chucking with the fifth wheel.

@KyleB with nearly 3,000 lbs of pin weight the # F2550 will be a great solution. The air bags will help keep your truck off the bump stops over those rough expansion joints, which will reduce the chucking you're experiencing. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out!
