Hi Betty,

I do have a setup we can look at for your 2011 Toyota Corolla, but there’s one important weight limit we need to be careful with. The Curt part # C11265 is the hitch you need, and it’s a Class I hitch with a 1 1/4 inch receiver and a 200 lb tongue weight rating. Since the wheelchair carriers we’re looking at use a 2 inch receiver, you would also need the part # e93YR adapter. That adapter reduces the hitch capacity by 50 percent, leaving us with 100 lbs to work with.

I’d go with the Curt part # C18112 because the built in ramp will make loading and unloading your wheelchair much easier, and the adapter gives the carrier some extra rise for better ground clearance behind your Corolla. Just remove the footrests whenever you carry the wheelchair to keep the setup as light as possible.

How much does the wheel chair weigh without the foot rests?
