15,000 Btu Advent Air Replacement AC for a Tioga Ranger 31M with Coleman Mach AC
Updated 08/18/2026 | Published 08/12/2026 >
Question:
I need to replace my RV AC unit model 8335D7764. I pulled a coleman mach 15 as a replacement. Which would be the best moderately budget friendly option. I have a tioga ranger 31m. Thank you for your time.

Hi Omar,
If you’re looking for a solid replacement that won’t get too crazy on price, I’d go with the Advent Air 15,000 Btu AC System, part # ADV62SR to replace the older Coleman Mach 8335D7764. Since the RV AC industry has moved over to R32 refrigerant, I’d use this opportunity to replace the whole setup rather than trying to track down an exact replacement for your older Coleman Mach 8335D7764. You may still be able to find that older Coleman equipment somewhere, but you could end up spending more trying to make everything work together.
What I like about the # ADV62SR is that you’re getting the rooftop AC, air distribution box, wall thermostat, wiring harness, and start capacitor together. That start capacitor is a nice feature because an AC compressor needs an extra push of power when it first kicks on. The capacitor provides that brief boost to help the compressor get started more reliably, which can be especially helpful when you’re running from a generator or dealing with shore power that struggles with that initial startup demand.
You’re also getting 15,000 Btu of cooling, and the system can work with either a ducted or non ducted setup. You also have the option of adding the electric heat strip, part # ADV34QR, down the road. It’s not meant to replace your RV furnace, but it’s a nice way to knock the chill off on those cool mornings when you don’t necessarily want to fire up the furnace.
