Replacement 3,500 lbs Axle for a Tandem Axle Trailer w/a 86.5" Hub Face and a 68.5" Spring Center

Updated 08/17/2026 | Published 08/11/2026

Question:

I have a 2021 Greywolf 26DBH and want to replace both axles as they are bent. I am pretty sure these are the direct replacements. My current axles have a brake wire run through it, does this model have that wire?

It sure does Ray! The Lippert Trailer Axle Beam with Super Lube Spindles item # LC63PK does indeed have wiring for brakes ran through the axle tube. I attached a couple of pictures below so you can see the wiring exit before the spindles.

The Lippert Trailer Axle Beam item # LC63PK has a 86.5" hub face, 68.5" spring center, and designed to replace 2,500 lbs - 3,500 lbs axles. Your 2021 Grey Wolf 26DBH came with tandem 3,500 lbs axles so as long as the hub face and spring seat dimensions match up this axle will work great to replace them.

The Lippert Axle item # LC63PK has spring seats mounted in the underslung position and 4-bolt brake flanges installed. You'll be able to reuse your existing hubs and brake assemblies.

You will also need to replace your U-Bolts when you install the new axles. They're only meant to be torqued down once. The 5-1/2" Long U-Bolts item # APUBR-1 are the correct ones. You'll need one set per axle.

What kind of roads do you typically travel and how did you bend your axle?
