Does the frontrunner top mount propane holder fit the 5 pound flame king propane tank? I’m seeing different perspectives on whether this tank fits on the rack mounted front runner, propane tank holder.

Hey Curtis, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Front Runner Top Mount Propane Holder # FR97FV fits the Flame King 5 lb steel propane tank. The holder is adjustable and accepts propane tanks up to 22 lbs, with a maximum 11-inch diameter and 12-5/8-inch height. A standard Flame King 5 lb steel tank falls well within those limits.

I bet the reason you are seeing mixed reviews is because there are two different Flame King 5 lb tanks. The steel tank fits the Front Runner holder. The aluminum version has a different shape and collar dimensions, which can create fitment issues in some mounting systems.
