Are Bunks of Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer for 2 Heavy Kayaks # MAL25FR Adjustable

Question:
I have a Sea Eagle FishSkiff 16 which is an inflatable skiff with a 6 hp motor. Would this trailer work for transporting and launching my boat? It is 16 feet long with a 4 1/2 foot beam. I am specifically wondering whether the angle of the bunks can be adjusted to fit a flat hull boat like mine? The boat itself weighs about 100 pounds and with all the gear I would estimate about 300 pounds total. I would like to be able to launch it from the trailer.

Hey Tim, yes you could for sure launch your boat with the Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer for 2 Heavy Kayaks # MAL25FR that you referenced. The angle of the bunks is adjustable so it can easily be made to match the angle of your boats hull. This also has an 800 lb weight capacity too so your boat would easily be under that. Do you usually launch from a ramp or just anywhere on the shore?

Trailer should work fine, however, my experience has been you do have to make adjustments in the bunks, and they are fully adjustable. In one case I had to get longer bunks and I made them myself. It’s not as difficult as it may look. I think these bunks are 7 feet in a 16 foot. Kayak may need a longer bunk. It can be done.
