Hi Charles, I'm happy to help. Sadly, we don't carry a direct replacement for the Airxcel 8534C8797 that will work with your existing thermostat and controls. I know that's probably not the answer you were hoping for, especially since you're only looking to replace one of the two roof units.
Since you're trying to keep your current thermostat and only replace the one rooftop unit, your best bet would be to track down the direct Airxcel replacement through a Coleman-Mach dealer or another supplier that still has one in stock. That would be my preferred route since it lets you replace only the failed unit and keeps everything else working together. If you can't find one, I'd be happy to help you put together everything you'd need to convert over to a new system.
The best option we offer would be to replace the entire system with a Furrion Chill Cube part # FR97TQ. It does an excellent job cooling, it's one of the quietest RV air conditioners we've tested, and it's been a customer favorite. The catch is that it isn't compatible with your existing Airxcel controls, so you would need to replace the rooftop units, ceiling assembly, thermostat, and related components rather than just swapping the roof unit. Since your thermostat also controls your air conditioner and furnace, mixing brands can create compatibility issues and may prevent the furnace from operating correctly.
Out of curiosity, is your second roof air conditioner still working well, or are you thinking you may replace both units in the future?
