Recommended 4-Way Connector for a 2023 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Being Flat Towed w/a Bike Rack

Good day, We flat tow a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawck 2023 behind our motorhome, We have the Blue Ox base plate with an InvisiBrake system. Our problem is when We have the bicycles in the back of the Jeep with a cover that has a system of lights that We plug into the 4 pins of the Jeep, there is only the brakes lights that is working, no lights are working for the signals left and right. What can we do to correct this?

Hey Marc. To power and control your bike rack's lighting functions while flat towing your 2023 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, you'll need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56406. This will plug in directly behind the rear tail lights. It works on all models even if you have the towing package.
You'll also need to be using a diode style wiring harness like the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights item # RM63MR or item # RM47ZR. The diodes are what carry the signals from your motorhome to the tail lights on your Jeep Cherokee. When your motorhome activates the lights and their individual functions the Curt item # C56406 will receive them and send them to your bike rack.
Please note if you're using a factory 4-way connector or the plug in 4-way flat tow harness you won't be able to get the signals from your motorhome without the diode kits.
What specific flat wiring harness are you using and is your 4-way connector a factory one or an aftermarket option that plugs in behind your tail lights?

The curt t connector I installed was flawless and easy to install. It works exactly as advertised. For what you are trying to accomplish It is easier to buy and attach a magnetic lite set and plug the four pin connector into the rv. Wiring a lot of electrical together is a little hard and take a little more time. There are also a lot more plugs which means more chances for the connections to come loose. The secondary plug is a good idea but I have never needed one so I don't know much about it. Good luck.
