Can I Replace the Mounting Bracket on My Lippert SolidStep Without Replacing the Entire Step?

Updated 07/30/2026 | Published 07/26/2026

Question:

I have a bent mounting bracket for my entry steps. I need to locate the entire mounting bracket. I have a 2020 26 Shasta DP26 Steps: SOLIDSTEP TRP 8 RIGID LCH 28IN 20.1 TRD I see replacement hardware, but i need the entire tp section that screws to the floor and the top of the steps.

Hello Norman,

Thanks for writing in!

Unfortunately, Lippert does not offer the upper mounting bracket as a separate replacement part. While replacement hardware is available, the mounting assembly that bolts to the floor and attaches to the top of the SolidStep is only available as part of a complete step assembly.

Based on the information you provided, I believe the Lippert SolidStep RV Steps for 29" to 36" Wide Doorways - 3 Steps # LC791573 is likely the replacement you're looking for.

I attached a sizing chart for you, and also an image showing where to measure. If your measurements fall within the highlighted section of the chart, then # LC791573 is the correct replacement. If they do not fall within the highlighted range, just let me know what measurements you came up with, and I'll be happy to find the correct SolidStep for your Shasta.

I am really sorry that they do not sell that bracket separately. If I could, I would make you one myself.

What happened to the bracket? It is usually something that was not so funny at the time....
