Updated 07/29/2026 | Published 07/24/2026

Question:

Hi, Im looking for trailer studs and wheel nuts for a large marine boat trailer - triple axle, with drain brakes. The studs I am looking for are: 2 1/2 long Thread diameter 0.494 Diameter at thread where it locks into the hub0.54 Top of stud diameter 0.72 The wheel nuts I have at the moment have a wide base then a flat washer so it locates onto the wheel hub and the washer tightens down onto the wheel hub itself. Im looking for 16 pcs of the stud and the wheel nuts. If you have a direct email address I can forward you a photo with dimensions of the items I am looking for. Thanks in advance

Hi Richard!

I definitely have a wheel stud that will work for you with the DeeMaxx Drive-In Wheel Stud - 1/2" Diameter x 2-1/2" Long # DE53GR. This matches what you have dang near perfectly (it will technically measure a little thicker since it's brand new and not worn down at all) and will be what you are looking for! ^___^

That lug nut though... that's going to be more difficult. I am fairly certain (emphasis on fairly) that is a mag-style lug nut. These weren't really used in the trailer industry (at least not that I am aware of) and we do not have anything that is going to match it. We would have the more standard 60 degree coned lug nuts, like the # AM90049. This may work, but if your current lug nuts are passing through the wheel and contacting the surface of the hub itself, they will not. The mag-style lug nuts are still available online, we just don't carry any at the moment, unfortunately.

Out of curiosity, do you know how old the boat trailer is? And what kind of wheels do you have on it?
