Hey Robbie. The Landing Gear Set w/ Handle item # RVLG-8HDL you referenced will work great with your 2006 Keystone Cougar. The 8,000 lbs capacity will be more than sufficient. The weight of your trailer will be split between the landing gear and axles so you don't need a set capable of handling the total weight.
The weld stops on the Landing Gear Set w/ Handle item # RVLG-8HDL are installed in the most common positions at 15-1/2" inside and 17-1/2" outside to make for a easy swap out with your current landing gear. You can add a motor to this landing gear using item # LG-142178.
What kind of places do you camp in with your Keystone Cougar?

We purchased this landing gear for our 2010 Sundance Heartland 285 5th wheel Bunk House. My husband just jacked up the front of the camper and swapped them out. It was rather simple and was complete in under an hour.
