Hey John,
I went out to the warehouse to measure the Infinite Rule Trailer Coupler Lock part # IR38FR for you and the space between the lock cylinder and the pin is exactly 3/4" of inch. This lock is meant to be used with trigger latch style ball couplers that are 1 5/8" wide and is rated for 42,000lbs.
What trailer coupler are you wanting to use the lock with?
