Will SumoSprings Kit Fit 2026 Toyota Tacoma Trail Hunter Edition

Question:

I have a question about sumo springs. I am a cancer survivor and have decided to purchase the truck of my dreams, which is a 2026 Toyota Tacoma trail hunter edition. Can always make more money. We can never make more time…. The one I am looking at is the 5 foot bed. tow a small camper. The camper is well within the truck towing specifications but I am a bit concerned about rear squat. I have used sumo springs on every Tacoma I have owned. But the trail hunter is factory lifted and also uses a rear multi link suspension with coils. I just want to confirm that the sumo springs will work with this Tacoma model in case I need them. Thank you so much. I love your company. Have used you for my truck gear for probably 20 years.

Hey David, welcome back! I'm glad you're still here with us and it's great to hear you are able to buy your dream truck! So I checked with SumoSprings and the # SS88FJ that you referenced does for sure fit the 2026 Toyota Tacoma Trail Hunter Edition. Where do you usually take your camper?

Follow up question. They make two variants of the supports. Blue and black. Do you happen to know the model number for the black at etrailer? The black are stiffer and provide more support. Thanks.

Thank you again sir. One final confirmation. I have been unsuccessful at confirming that the sumosprings are tall enough for the trailhunter edition. I’ve searched most of the conversation feeds for Tacoma. So I may be in uncharted territory in using these on an trailhunter, or ant very least in little traveled territory. I took a measurement from bottom of frame to top of axle on my trailhunter with it full of fuel but unloaded of any gear. Measurement on both sides are about the same at 6.25 inches. I do not have access to a regular oem Tacoma fo compare to. And I have confirmed that I want to purchase as I’m getting a bit more squat with camper connected than I want. Before I order can you just confirm once again these will work correctly with the trailhunter edition. The trailhunter edition is lifted somewhat from the factory vs the other Tacoma models. I am assuming these are returnable if I order and find a challenge in installation. Thanks so much.

@DavidP they are a confirmed fit for sure. I checked again and SumoSprings does not have any fit exclusions for the Trail Hunter Edition.

@JamesonC Thank you so much for the confirmation. And thank you so much for the help. Is there any way to know the actual length of their urethane stop from the bottom of their bracket to the end of the stop where it contacts the driveshaft?
