Question:

Will this rack work with the Thule Hullavator for a VW Atlas from 2021. What if we potentially wanted to carry a paddle board as well?

Hi Laura!

The bars on the Malone SteelTop Roof Rack - Raised Side Rails # MPG203 are 65" long and will have no problems accommodating a Thule Hullavator # TH898. You need to have 5 to 8 inchess of over hang for that (see included image) and there doesn't look like there will be any problem getting that with this rack.

As to the second part of your question, it will depend on how wide your SUP is and if you are using a carrier for that as well. The Hullavator takes up 28.5" of bar space, so that gives you almost 30" of useable space after it's installed. So as long s your SUP is 29.5" wide or you have something like the Curt # C18320 (as an example), you will be perfectly fine.

What kind of kayak and SUP do you have? I did a little bit of kayaking and paddle boarding in my youth, though paddle board was a lay down style one.
