Hey David, thanks for reaching out. The Redarc # RED92XR might work, but I can't say for sure based on the year and model of your boat alone. The important measurement is the depth of the fuel tank, since this is a vertical sender that's designed for tanks up to about 7-15/16" deep. Tank capacity doesn't tell us the depth, so a 55-gallon tank could be too shallow or too deep depending on its shape.
One other thing to keep in mind is that the # RED92XR is designed to work with the Redarc TVMS Rogue system, not as a direct replacement for a factory marine fuel gauge sender. If you're just trying to get your original fuel gauge working again, this probably isn't the right sensor. If you're adding a Redarc monitoring system, let me know your tank depth and I can help confirm whether the # RED92XR is the right fit.
What is the depth of your tank? Do you already have the Redarc monitoring system?
