This Demco tow bar is designed to fit the Curt base plate kit. It also comes with safety cables and has a built-in rise/drop to keep you level, saving on additional parts. The Roadmaster wiring is the best around so I wouldn't skimp on that. It also has a 6-way connection so you can run a charge line. Brake systems will drain the battery so you don't want to arrive with a dead battery after a long trip.

The Stay-IN-Play Duo is designed to work with an RV with hydraulic brakes, and is really reliable. All of the brake systems are pretty pricey but this sits at the low end despite being such a great system.

I chose the Demco II for its high or low option to get optimal leveling. I used it with the Blue Ox hardware and pulled the toad across the country and back, no problems.

We are happy with the Demco Commader II tow bar and the Demco base plate. Pulled our vehicle (2014 Honda CRV) 2,700 miles so far with no issues. We have found it very easy to hook and unhook, and we like that the arms stay up in the process. We went with wireless tow lights and a blue ox brake controller and monitor.
