2024 chevy silverado 2500HD All of my trailer/camper lights work when I plug into my truck. Purchased a power jack for another trailer with a 7 pin plug. Plug into my truck and does not work. Plug into my sons 2016 GMC it works. Plugged into an AC to DC converter, it works. HELP Thanks,

Hey Pat, so some trucks do this thing where if they don't sense a trailer connected they don't activate the 12 volt accessory circuit. So when you are using the power jack that uses the 7-way for a power wire it doesn't see enough amperage draw on the circuits to think a trailer is connected and then doesn't turn on the 12 volt power.
So the simplest isn't the easiest but it requires you to run 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 from the positive battery post of the vehicle to the 1:00 pin on the 7-way so that it is hot all the time.
