Question:

I have a 1977 tandem axle livestock trailer with 15 inch tires and need replacement fenders size 66 long 11 wide and 20 tall I wish to purchase steel fenders and am willing to try bolt on or wield on fenders. I may be able to make longer fenders work but must be 11 inches wide. Thank you for your time.

Hi Diane,

I know how frustrating it can be trying to find replacement parts for an older trailer. I looked through our selection, and the closest steel fender we have to what you're looking for is part # HP84VR. It's designed for tandem axle trailers with 15 inch to 16 inch wheels and measures 72 inches long, 10-3/4 inches wide, and 20-1/2 inches tall.

The width is only 1/4 inch narrower than the 11 inches you're looking for, and the height is very close as well. The biggest difference is the length, since it's about 6 inches longer than your current fenders. If you have enough room on the trailer, it could be a good option, but I'd recommend measuring the available space before ordering to make sure the extra length won't interfere with anything.

Out of curiosity, what animals or loads are you hauling these days with your '77 trailer?

we use our trailer to haul Horses, cattle and hay we have even hauled building materials in it. it is old but roadworthy thank you for your help longer fenders may work because there is a step on each side of the fender i will give this information to my husband. Thank You again
