Question:
I tow an 8,500lb travel trailer fully loaded with a Pro Pride Hitch. Will this handle the torque of the Pro Pride hitch and trailer?

Hey James, thanks for reaching out. No, the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar # e38FV cannot handle the torque of the Pro Pride WD hitch. The collar isn't rated for use with any WD hitch regardless of trailer weight. It should really only be used with lighter trailers, or with hitch mounted accessories like a bike rack.
For an anti-rattle device that will work with your Pro Pride hitch, the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2" Hitches # e99007 is what I recommend. As long as you have room for the U-bolt and plate, that'll be your best bet.
What kind of trailer do you haul? What are your thoughts on the Pro Pride hitch?

When this was first announced on eTrailer I immediately purchased it and was on the early wait list ... I was excited about the simplicity of the design...no more wrenches like my other Anti-Rattle Stabilizer.. But my positive expectations were quickly crushed after my first couple uses together with my WD hitch pulling a 5500# camper. At that time there was nowhere I saw on product description that it was only intended for use on lighter trailers w/o a WD hitch. My greatest disappointment was with eTrailer in their silence when I made my negative experience known...for me it turned out to be a waste of $50.

I have the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2" Hitches # e99007, use it for my '22 Z71 4WD Suburban to pull my golf card with a 7x14 single axle. trailer and cart is not even 3k lbs, so it's not apples to apples of what you are asking but it's been bullet-proof for me, especially when it's not loaded. I leave my 9" drop hitch all the time, and stabilizer makes it so quiet, you forget the hitch is there. I also have a small luggage tray for the gold cart that I mounted to my trailer and I put an anti-rattle on that as well, so the tray isn't banging around making noise. Hope this helps. EE
