Question:
I have a 1 yr old Big Tex trailer that has a Defender 3 breakaway system. The top cover over the test switch is lifted up and water has caused damage. The bolt pattern, the best that I can measure, is 3.25 X 5.5. It is a top load box. What do you have that is comparable.

The closest replacement we offer is the Dexter Trailer Breakaway Kit # 34-285. It's a top load design with a built in charger, battery and breakaway switch, making it very similar to your Defender 3 system.
The one thing to note is that it is not a direct bolt-on replacement. The Dexter kit uses a 7" x 3" mounting pattern, the Defender 3 has a mounting pattern of 5-1/2" x 3-1/4". You would likely need to drill new mounting holes or use an adapter plate for installation.
What do you usually haul?
