Will Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II Fit 2022 Ram 2500 Receiver

Question:

As a follow up to my question and Robin H’s reply, here’s more photos of my Ram 2500 receiver. Will this fit my truck?

Hey Luke, thanks for the additional pictures! The Blue Ox will definitely make contact on there with the receiver sitting so close so it will not fit. What I recommend instead is the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061. The top sits on the shank of your ball mount or accessory so it won't be hitting the bumper, see the attached photo.

What are you towing or hauling?

Thanks Robin, I'm towing a 12,000 lb toy hauler trailer using an Equalizer that I bought from etrailer. The main thing I'm trying to accomplish is the starting 'clunk' each time I pull away from a stop. I don't think I see up/down or side-to-side play - it's more of an 'in-and-out' play that hear when pulling away from a stop. Will the Roadmaster fix this or is there a better/different product?

@LukeH hard to say for sure since there are a lot of factors and that is a pretty heavy trailer. I don't think you will completely eliminate it, but it will probably soften it up quite a bit so it isn't really noticeable. This is going to be the best option with that particular hitch.

@LukeH Luke, I use the 2" roadmaster quiet hitch for my Nissan truck, and had to mount it in a certain way for it to work. I pull a 16 foot utility trailer, and had clunking sounds. the Roadmaster took that away and i have no issues. But, your photos appear to have no room for a good clamping area. I wish I could add my photos. Edward L
