Question:

I am looking at purchasing a ram 2500 with a 6ft bed to tow a gd reflection 150 series with a lippert turning point pin box. I wanted to confirm 1 a curt cross wing can be used with the ram 2 it may or may not have fith wheel prep. I assume it is the same hitch, and i could buy rails seperatly if there isnt a prep package 3 if it has fith wheel prep, i dont need rails for the crosswing Thanks

Happy to help clear things up before your big purchase!

1. Yes, the Curt CrossWing can absolutely be used with a Ram 2500.

2. If the truck does not have the OEM 5th wheel prep package, you'll need the Curt Custom 5th Wheel Bracket Kit for Ram Truck # C16427 along with the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails # C16204. These will provide the mounting points needed for the Curt CrossWing.

3.If the truck does have the OEM 5th wheel prep package, you'll still need rails since the Curt CrossWing does not mount directly into the factory pucks. Instead, you'll need the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch - Dodge Ram Towing Prep Package # C29BR. These install into the factory puck system and provide the mounting points for the CrossWing. They will add approximately 3 inches of additional height.

With either setup, you'll also need the Sidewinder Wedge for Curt CrossWing 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C85DR when using the Curt CrossWing Lightweight 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - 20K # C86JR with your Lippert Turning Point pin box.
