Will The Curt Trailer Hitch Spare Tire Mount #C31006 WOrk With A Dually Wheel On A Transit T350?

I am looking at the curt hitch mounted spare tire carrier. C31006. I have a 2023 ford transit 350 HD. Dual rear wheels. Will my wheel fit this carrier. Thank you, Chuck

Hey Chuck, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Spare Tire Mount #C31006 will work with the dual rear wheel on your 2023 Ford Transit 350 HD. It's designed to accommodate virtually any wheel bolt pattern, so the DRW wheel won't be an issue.

Just be aware that a large spare mounted behind the van may limit access to the rear doors depending on your hitch receiver location and how far the carrier sits from the vehicle. Otherwise, it's a solid option for carrying a full-size spare.

Do you open the rear doors often on your trips?

Hey this carrier will be on the back of my Rv. Thor Gemini 24KB. I took the measurements from the picture and tried to line it up with my spare. Looks like only two of the holes would line up. It is a 6 bolt 16 inch dually rim. I was hoping you all mounted one of these 16 inch 6 bolt to that carrier or had photos of someone that has. I hate to buy it and then not be able to secure the rim to it. And then go through the process to return a scratched item. Thank you, Chuck

@ChuckS Hey Chuck, it'll work just fine with a 16" 6-lug wheel. I don't have a way to put pictures in the comments on here but if you go to the part page for the # c31006 and take a look at the customer submitted photos, there are a few showing it holding a 6-lug wheel. There is even one showing it working with an 8-lug dually wheel so it can hold even larger dual wheels.

@ChuckS I mounted my spare tire which is same size as the all my tires, we have a Thor 32 foot with dually rear wheels. Able to position to accept 3 bolts and have mounted to bumper and the actual receiver. Works with no issues for me.
