Do You Have a Goodyear ST205/75R15 for a 5-on-5.5" Bolt Pattern?

Updated 06/25/2026 | Published 06/22/2026

Question:

I am looking for a wheel and tire combo for a horse trailer. The current tires are ST205/75R15. The rim is a 5 1/2J. The lug pattern is 5 x 5.5. The tire I am looking for is a Goodyear Assurance. Ideally, I can find an aluminum rim, but I so far have only seen 5 x 4.5 in the 15x6 configuration. Any suggestions?

Hey Todd,

We only have the 5-on-5.5" bolt pattern on 10" wheels, so in order to use a 15" wheel like Goodyear Endurance ST205/75R15 Radial Tire w/ 15" Eagle Aluminum Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR D # GY37QB, you'd need to update your hub to a 5-on-4.5" bolt pattern because this won't work with your current hub. This is the more common bolt pattern byfar, so I think it's something worth looking into to extend the life of your trailer and protecting you in the worst case scenario, if you ever find yourself in need of a new tire or wheel immediately.

Our Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3.5K Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K is a proper fit to work with that wheel or if you need a drum with your hub, you can go with Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3.5K Axles - 10" - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K. These are both rated for 3,500 lbs. and will work with up to 15" wheels. Before moving forward with these, you will want to confirm that your axles are rated for 3,500 lbs. It's possible that due to your setup, you may have an older style axle, which a lot of times had looser standards.

If you'd like to stick with your current setup but still go with your 15" wheel, I looked at Goodyear and other manufacturers' offerings and they do not currently have a 5-on-5.5" wheel for you. I'm interested in why the trailer's setup this way. Do you know the year it was manufactured? What size is your axle? I'm happy to try to get you on the road as quickly as possible!
