Recommended Flat Tow Setup For 2012 Jeep Wrangler

Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we can provide all the parts you need to flat tow your 2012 Jeep Wrangler behind your RV. Here is what I recommend:

- Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267

- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

- Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Wireless Monitor - Proportional # DM86VR

That will cover all the main components. Keep in mind the base plate is for models with the standard factory bumper, so if you have a different bumper just let me know.

You may end up needing a drop hitch to compensate for any height differences between the base plate arms and the hitch on your RV. Any difference of more than 3" will require a drop hitch like part # BLU28XR. I also recommend grabbing a hitch lock # e98881 and a cover # e76FV to protect your tow bar, especially if you plan to store it on the back of your RV.

As far as installers, we do have a few in your area. I recommend checking with The RV Smith in Colorado Springs, or with Morris Motors and RV in Peyton. Both of those places have experience with base plate/flat tow installs. I've included a link to our installer locator for you below. I don’t see a link to your installer locator. However I did that yesterday and don’t recall seeing either of the above installers mentioned. And the number one on your list was Golden Eagle, which I know on authority doesn’t do these installs. He may have at one time but now is 100% solar installs. I know this because just installed a solar system in my 2018 Minnie Winnie 31g. This will be my first experience flat towing. Thanks Bob
