Can Safety Cable Extensions Be Used To Extend Safety Chains

Question:
can you use these cables as extensions for the safety chains on a travel trailer TT? My TT is 11k lbs, 2026 sport trek 343vik, so cables are well over the weight capacity of TT. I am thinking about getting the gen y 16k torso hitch and know some folks have needed safety chain extensions for their TT. Thanks Robert

Hi Robert, welcome back! Yes, you can use the Demco Safety Cable Extensions # DM9523064 to extend your safety chains if you need to. They key is just making sure the capacity is high enough, and it is so you're all set.
