Will the Dometic Ultra Breeze Cover Work with FanTastic Fan EZ Mount Tabs?

Question:
Hi: I have a 2025 Nucamp tab360 and it came with a Dometic fantastic fan that was equipped with ez mount points built in taller plastic tabs. I have a couple of questions. 1 Does anyone still make the covers that utilize these mounting points rather than having to put mounting tabs on the fan as the existing mounting points would be in the way. 2 Does the latest ultrabreeze dometic cover work with these mounting points or would they have to be removed first. I have attached a couple pictures of the mounting tabs. Thanks

Hello Bruce,
Thanks for sending the photos. Those are definitely the older FanTastic Vent EZ Mount tabs that were molded into the fan base for use with the original FanTastic Vent covers. As far as I am aware, there are not any current vent covers that still utilize those mounting points. Most of the covers on the market today, including the Dometic Ultra Breeze Cover # DMC38FR, use their own mounting hardware rather than the factory EZ Mount system. - Although if you read Duncan's comment below, he was able to get them to work....
The Ultra Breeze cover is not designed to attach to the EZ Mount tabs. Instead, it installs using the brackets included with the cover. The tabs shown in your photos would not be used during installation.
Most likely you will not need to remove the EZ Mount tabs before installing the # DMC38FR. In many cases, the cover's mounting hardware can be installed independently of those tabs, but Dometic does not provide specific guidance for every variation of the older FanTastic Fan housings. If you can provide the model number of your fan, I'd be happy to see if there is any model-specific information available.
I attached an image so you can see what the cover will look like installed on the roof.

I have a 2006 Sprinter/2007 Airstream Interstate and this vent cover is by far one of the greatest improvements I have made...the vent can stay open while traveling...while it rains...It does not leak...My installation was trickier because the Airstream has a roof rails protection the vent and air conditioner...So I simply notched the vent cover to go around the railing and the snap-in vent screen works perfect...Looks like factory instillation... I will recommend these for everyone and I do...Thank you E-Trailer and crew!!! John, New Mexico...

The Dometic fan cover that I purchased last year for my 2024 T@B 400 worked just fine using the mounting point tabs like ones pictured on yours; I didn't need the metal brackets and simply used the plastic push-in pins. I did have to clean off the tabs by carefully scraping/peeling off the black roof sealant so that the plastic pins would insert, but that wasn't a big deal.
