Updated 06/22/2026 | Published 06/19/2026

Question:

The search on your site returns no front receiver option for a 1991 f250. Is this correct or can you lead me to product choices? Thank you

Hi John!

Though I do have an option for you, the Curt front hitch # 31310 will fit a 1992 to 1997 Ford F-250. A 1991 is an 8th generation, whereas 1992 started the 9th generation and it looks like there are differences with the frame across those generations.

So with that said, you will need something like the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets - 2" Receiver - 60" Wide # 15903. This can be cut down to fit whatever you need it to, but it is a weld on application. We have had a lot of people use this hitch for front mount applications when there are no custom fit options available though, so I know it will work. It's just harder to get installed. It also has a ton of capacity (15,000 pounds towing and 1,500 pounds of tongue weight), so it will be able to handle whatever you need it to.

On that note, what are you wanting to use a front hitch for?
