There’s a little tab in the top of the fitting. What’s the intent of that tab?

Welcome back Mark and thanks for the pic! The tab can be used for securing the EZ Coupler 4-in-1 Threaded RV Sewer Adapter item # F02-3112CL. That's actually a new feature they've added. It can be used for hanging the adapter up or tying the coupler down to the dumping station if it doesn't have threads. Some people also secure their end cap to it with some rope or thread.
Do you plan on storing the adapter with the sewer hose or removing it?

I think the small tab you’re asking about is simply for the retailer to hang them from the sales rack. I trimmed mine off when I got it. These elbows are awesome tho, they’re one piece, instead of having the 4 little tiny locking tabs that inevitably break off while trying to tighten your hose. And they are also so incredibly clear that you can actually see how clean or dirty your tank is by the water coming out. Most “clear” elbows are just frosted looking.

Thanks Jarred. I just have a little camper van. I’m storing the sewer hose in the storage tube under the van. Unfortunately, that tube will not accommodate the adapter so I do take that off. I store that adapter piece in a leakproof container inside my van.
