I did some searching on where the best location is to mount the air reservoir from the Roadmaster BrakeMaster # RM-9160 in your 2020 Ford Ranger. We don't have any install videos yet, so we haven't had the opportunity to see one installed firsthand. However, many installers report mounting the reservoir in the driver-side kick panel behind the lower dash trim (this is the preferred location), or behind the driver's seat trim panel if a little more space is needed.

Wherever you decide to mount the reservoir, Roadmaster recommends choosing a location that allows easy access to the drain valve on the bottom of the tank for future maintenance. You'll also want to make sure there is enough room to safely route one air line toward the driver's area and another toward the front of the vehicle. When routing the air lines, be sure to keep them at least 2 feet away from heat sources such as the engine or exhaust system to help prevent damage. Finally, verify that the mounting location and air line routing will not interfere with any vehicle components or moving parts.
