Question:

I have a customer buying a 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit with lower air shutters that needs to flat tow. He was hoping to go back through Blue Ox but they dont have a product engineered yet. I was told no one has a base plate engineered yet but that Demco is working on one. This part number I noticed said no lower air shutters, do you have any info for me on this? I need something ASAP for my customer. Thank you!

Hey Matt! The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM75GR is designed to fit models with the lower air shutters. They make a higher quality base plate when compared to Blue Ox, so your customer won't be missing out on anything here.

They can pair it with a Roadmaster tow bar like the Falcon 3HD # RM27NQ along with safety cables # RM-674. If they already have a Blue Ox tow bar, or they prefer one like the Avail # BLU28QV, it can be adapted to the Roadmaster base plate kit using # BX88185.
