Is There Oris Hitch that Fits 2024 BMW X6

Updated 06/17/2026 | Published 06/11/2026

Question:

Im looking for a trailer hitch receiver for my 2024 BMW X6 that is not made by stealth. I recently had a horrible experience with these plug upward hitch systems that rely on a chuck mechanism as opposed to a through pin. It looks like a company you sell through Oris may have something but Im not able to navigate your site to the appropriate fit for my vehicle. Does Oris have something that will work for me? If yes, I will buy it immediately.

Hey Edward, yes Oris does have a hitch for your 2024 BWM X6 with the part # TS86VR. Are you planning on doing any towing with your X6?

Yes I have a 2012 mastercraft ProStar 197 ski boat. The tongue weight is around 450 lb and the total weight is around 4,600. Will that hitch mount work?

@EdwardD Yes it will as it has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs and tongue weight rating of 500 lb. If you haven't figured out trailer wiring as well you'd want the Curt part # C59236 as well.

@JamesonC I'm sorry this chat is just not working for me. Are you available for a phone call to discuss? I've had many terrible experiences with these types of hitches and I have some specific questions that I do not believe you will be able to answer through the chat without a discussion. I can be reached at 408-896-1117. Alternatively we can schedule a time to make sure we're both available at the same time so we don't end up playing voicemail tag like we are playing chat tag now. Will that work for you?

@Edward i don't have ability to take calls at my desk. I wish we had a non-stealth style hitch but for your vehicle at this time that is all that we offer. My apologies.

That Oris hitch mount looks like an upward locking mechanism like the stealth. Is there a video showing how that receiver hitch clicks into the mount? I'm concerned that that one is another bike rack type hitch not suitable for towing a boat.

@Edward You can see how it works in the attached video below this message. While the removable hitch does seem a bit scary it definitely will work just fine towing your trailer.

@JamesonC I am currently in a dispute with Stealth whose hitch system did not work fine for my trailer. After towing the boat on the freeway for an hour and a half, launching the boat down the ramp at the lake, the hitch simply plopped out when retrieving the boat up the ramp. Not sure how that's possible if it was locked it. Then we attempted to reattach the hitch which seemed to lock back in, and tow the boat home on the freeway for another hour and half, when backing the boat into position in my driveway, the hitch swing hard to the right causing body damage to my vehicle and wedging the hitch in an impossible position to release. I would like to see a close up of how the Oris hitch locks into the receiver. Do you have one? If it has a through pin, I'll trust it. If its another one of these, trust our awesome engineered chuck system, nope. They don't work for a 4k trailer. maybe a light trailer or a bike rack.

@Ed It uses a system that you're probably not going to be a huge fan of when you hear it described but its the same type of mechanism that the full size trucks use to hold their gooseneck balls to the OEM rail kits. It's three larger ball bearings that get pushed out of the detachable shank that fit into a groove in the main hitch portion that hold it in place.
