How Do You Update Tire Positions After Rotating Tires on the Tuson TPMS6WIVS?

Updated 06/13/2026 | Published 06/10/2026

Question:

Looking at installing these but trying to see when doing a rotate with these sensors installed how do you change the position of the sensors on the monitor to match the new location?

Hi Dustin,

Great question. The Tuson part # 335TPMS6WIVS sensors are assigned to specific wheel positions, and each sensor is marked to indicate which tire location it belongs to. When you rotate your tires, you'll need to update the tire positions on the receiver so the monitor continues to display alerts for the correct wheel location.

I've attached the section of the setup process that covers setting the tire positions on the receiver. Once the new tire locations are entered, the monitor will correctly identify which tire is reporting pressure or temperature information, helping ensure any alerts point you to the right wheel.

What type of setup are you running, a single axle trailer, tandem axle trailer, or do you also rotate a spare tire into service?

You would have to re-pair it if you want to maintain the correlation between positions and sensors. These sensors are excellent. Really happy I have them.

I replaced a wheel sensor. It was easy. Put the tire close to the display device and follow instructions to sync it into the correct position.

@James Wow that sounds much easier than I imagined. Thank you for that insight James.
