Question:
Hello from TEXAS and my 2013 Toyota Tundra TSS! Okay here is the set up: I installed an electric tongue jack on my trailer and placed a 12-volt car battery in a box next to it to power the tongue jack I wont always have my truck linked up to the trailer to power the electric tongue jack. I purchased the CTEK Multi US 7002per one of your posts to charge this battery while Im towing the trailer. I imagine that in order to power the CTEK I need to tie it in to the #4 position on my 7-Pin plug. Am I right on the money, or way off? I also noticed that the INPUT on the CTEK is 120VAC. Talk to me gurus of gear, I am ready to purchase the right parts and listen to your infinite wisdom.

The CTEK MULTI US 7002 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56353 that you referenced actually will need to plug into a wall outlet to charge your trailer battery. What I would do is run a 10 gauge wire from the 12 volt accessory circuit of your 7-way to the positive post of your trailer battery to provide it with a maintenance charge when it is connected.
The only real way to charge the trailer battery with it connected to your tow vehicle would be to run a thick gauge wire from the output port of the vehicle alternator to the battery.
