Will The Trailer Hitch From A 2023 Subaru Forester Transfer Over To A 2026 Forester?

I purchased a trailer hitch for my 2023 Subaru Forrester and now am getting a 2026 Subaru Forrester...can I take the hitch off the 2023 and install it on my new 2026? Will it fit or do I need to purchase a new one? Thanks...

Hey Linda, thanks for reaching out. Yes, you are good! The trailer hitch from your 2023 Subaru Forester will indeed transfer over to your 2026 Forester. The hitches are the same for models 2019-current so you are good to go there.

You'll just need a new hardware kit which is something we can provide.

@LindaM Perfect! For a new hardware kit you'll need part # RHK. When you go to the page for the RHK you'll see a box where you can enter the part number for your hitch. In this case you'll enter the part number C13409 in that box before adding the RHK to your cart. That will get you a complete new hardware kit for your hitch.
