Is There A Water Heater That Lets You Take Back To Back Showers Without Running Out Of Water In RV?

Question:
I’m replacing a 6 gallon tank water heater because my wife and kids keep running out of hot water. Will the Dylux actually let us take back-to-back showers?

Hey Matt, that’s exactly the kind of upgrade the Dylux RV Tankless Water Heater # DY54FR is meant for. Since it’s tankless, it heats water as it flows instead of storing a limited 6 gallons in a tank. As long as you have propane, 12V power, and a steady water supply, you won’t be waiting for a tank to recover between showers.
This Dylux is rated at 60,000 Btu with a 2.4 GPM flow rate, so it’s a good match for normal RV shower use and washing dishes afterward. I’d still avoid running multiple hot-water fixtures at the same time if you want the most consistent shower temperature, but for back-to-back showers, this is a big step up from a small tank heater.
Matt, how many people are usually camping with you? Is this a big fifth wheel or something along those lines?
