Will Blue Ox Avail Fit Demco Classic Base Plate Kit On 2026 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali

Question:

I have an existing BlueOx BX7420 with triple lug connectors. Will this work with the Demco DM48FR base plate? Vehicle: 2026 GMC Denali 2500HD. I believe the BLU97UR would be the BlueOx baseplate to connect directly to the tow bar. However, I like the looks of the plastic cover by Demco to cover the tabs when not in use and have not found a BlueOx equivalent. Additionally, does the Demco AF1 kit DM26VR come with everything for the coach and toad side? We do not have air connection at rear hitch. 2016 Entegra Anthem, Spartan MM/K2-450 chassis.

Hey William! Your Blue Ox Avail # BX7420 can be used with the Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM48FR. It won't fit as is, so you will also need the Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter Brackets for Demco Classic Base Plates # DM9523034. Also yes, the Demco Air Force One # DM26VR comes with everything you need for the motorhome and vehicle side of your setup.

The only thing left for a complete setup will be wiring and a battery disconnect. If you don't have those already, you can use the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-15267 along with # RM-792 for extra diodes. If that is a gas model you need the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM-766 and for diesel models # RM93MR.
