Question:
black. 2 x 4 wood cross beams on our stationary backyard clothesline. tired of hitting my head moving the lawn, will these fit as endsinch on our cross beams? our cross beams are standard wood two by fours. Yours seem to be more rugged better than the end capsinch that I see on Amazon.

Hi John,
Absolutely, those should work great for what you are trying to do. The Caliber Bunk Wrap Endcaps part # CA48AJ are designed to fit standard 2x4 lumber, so they can be installed on the ends of your clothesline cross beams just like they would be on a boat trailer guide. I actually think that is a pretty clever use for them since they will give you a much smoother, more visible end to the boards and help eliminate those painful head bumps when mowing around the yard.
They are definitely a more durable option than many of the generic plastic caps out there, and the rounded design should hold up well outdoors. I think you'll be happy with how clean they make the ends of the 2x4s look. And thank you for giving us a chance to help instead of heading to the online jungle. We appreciate it!
How long have those 2x4 cross beams been winning the battle against your forehead?

These end caps are designed to cover the ends of 2 x 4 guide bunks on boat trailers. While they will cover the boards they don’t offer much protection or cushioning against bumping your head.
