Mounting Hole Dimensions of a 30 Amp SmartPlug RV Power Inlet

Updated 05/25/2026 | Published 05/21/2026

Question:

I have a 2025 Grand Design Serenova that has 50A inlet. I want to swap over to 30A due to the lighter cable. I don’t need 50A due to the soon to be installed Bluetti RV5 system. Will a 30A Smart Plug inlet match up to the same screw mounts of the OEM 50A inlet?

Hey Jaime, welcome back! I can give you the dimensions of the 30 Amp SmartPlug RV Power Inlet item # SM97FR so you can compare them to the ones on your 50 amp power inlet but I can't tell you if it's going to match up to the holes. I don't have anyway of knowing what brand 50 amp inlet you have. SmartPlug markets their power inlets as being able to match standard twist-lock inlet footprints but I strongly recommend taking some measurements to confirm.

The mounting holes are spaced 2.44" apart both vertically and horizontally on the 30 Amp SmartPlug RV Power Inlet item # SM97FR. The holes are .18" in diameter. Overall the whole inlet is 4-1/2" tall x 3-1/4" wide x 3-3/4" deep. The width is measured from the widest point with the weather cover.

We also have the 30 Amp SmartPlug RV Power Inlet item # SM37FR in gray or white item # SM57FR.
