Can rucRak Cargo Carrier Use Bumper For Support

Question:
Can this be installed as a spare tire rack in a way that would allow the dynamic weight supports rest on bumper possibly? Jeep JL 2021

Hi Clint; the # RU34FR is specifically designed to use the included support system with the weight primarily on the hitch. To do what you're describing would require modifying the carrier. This would void the warranty and could affect how the weight is distributed on the carrier and tailgate.
Are you worried about the stress on the hitch, or are you trying to free it up altogether?

I want to remove tire and move it as close as possible to gate. Also incorporate a 6" drop hitch.
