Can RV Airflow Systems Inserts Remain In Place With Furrion Chill Cube Installation

Updated 05/18/2026 | Published 05/17/2026

Question:

I have the RV Airflow Systems plenum modifications installed under my Coleman Mach10. If I want to switch to the ducted Furion Cube 18K with heat pump can the plenum mods stay as they are? Also, will any major changes to the roof or power supply be necessary? THANK YOU!

Hey Bruce! You will have to remove those modifications to install the Chill Cube # FR97TQ (Black) or # FR67TQ (White). The RV Airflow Systems Coleman Mach 10 kits are molded specifically around the Coleman evaporator housing and ceiling assembly geometry. Aside from removing these you will not need to make any major changes to the roof or your power supply.

Both of the models linked above are complete systems so you will have everything you need for installation. They're designed for a ducted setup like yours.

What kind of trailer do you have?

Robin, thanks for the fast reply. We have a 2018 Northwood Fox Mountain 235RLS. Is it possible that the RV Airflow System mod will give us at least as good cooling as the Chill Cube?

@BruceN I'm really not that familiar with the performance of that modification, I just know it won't work with the Chill Cube. I expect the Chill Cube to outperform a Coleman-Mach even with that installed. The Chill Cube is really hard to beat, especially since it is one of the only models taking advantage of the new R32 refrigerant with the variable speed compressor.
