Question:
2014 Ram 3500 DRW 4X4 crew cab. Carrying 2026 Lance 1172 4500 lbs dry. Also towing enclosed cargo trailer 7000 lb. I am installing Torklift A7200 Stable load uppers. I will also install Hellwig Big wig anti-sway bar. Question is are Hellwig helper springs necessary/compatible...especially with the A7200 uppers. Thanks

Hi Gary!
That depend on which Helwig springs you were looking at for your 2014 Ram 3500 Dually.
If it's the Hellwig Contact Helper Spring - Above Axle # HE29SR, then you can definitely use them with the TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade for Upper Overload Springs # TLA7200. This installs on top of your factory overload spring and will beef that up while also making contact with the TorkLift pads sooner.
If you were looking at the Hellwig Load Pro 25 Progressive Helper Springs with Custom Mounting Kit - 3" Wide # HE54TR, that is going to be a no. I asked Helwig on that as I wasn't sure, but they said there wouldn't be a way for them to work together properly, unfortunately.
As to your question about them being necessary, I'm not 100% sure. I would honestly try one or the other first to see if it fixes the sag you are getting with your camper installed. The TorkLift StableLoad may be all you need to be more planted and you may not need anything else to supplement your suspension. If it isn't then yes it may be necessary to do more. But try the one first.
Are you getting ready for an upcoming trip? Where you headed?

I've been carrying a 2016 Lance 1172 now for a decade running over 80K miles on my F350 dually diesel w/crew cab. I appreciate the "go slow approach" Lazer S suggested starting with modest suspension upgrades and determining if you're getting rid of the sag and achieving sufficient rear-end ground clearance. I started with the lower StableLoad (didn't do much) then added the upper StableLoad (much improved, but still not sufficient). I then added air bags which worked wonders for the sway, as an option to anti-sway bars and then I added two additional leaf springs to each side for additional lift. That did the trick. All of these "add-ons" took a couple of seasons to figure out. Interestingly I've had no problems with the air bags, but I went through a set of Upper StableLoads somewhere along my travels a few years back - they simply disintegrated. I ordered replacements from etrailer and self-installed - quick. So thank goodness I had the airbags. You've got a nice truck camper setup. Perhaps we'll see you in Borrego Springs CA some time.
